Hanshi Eugene Madry is an 9th degree Black Belt and the Director of the Cleveland Karate Institute. Grandmaster Madry started his martial arts training in 1973 with Sho-Dai Soke Caraulia. He received numerous awards by competing in many national and local tournaments, including the Gold KI award on the back of his uniform which indicates the warrior spirit. He also received the Gold KI award on his belt which very few black belts have received in the KIA organization. This particular award is given to black belts for dedication, participation and leadership which he portrayed throughout his career in the KIA organization. He also functions as the Technical Director with KI Kajukenpo and certifies "Class A" and "Level One" Instructors. Grandmaster Madry serves as a chairman of the board in the KI organization since 1997. He was inducted into the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame in 2006.
Master Julie Madry, is a 5th degree Black Belt and a "Class A" certified instructor with the Cleveland Karate Institute and the Karate Institute of America. Master Madry started her martial arts training in 1991.
Sensei Rick Capirano is a 3rd degree Black Belt and is the Chief Instructor at the Cleveland Karate Institute and with the Karate Institute of America.
Sensei Capirano is also a 1st degree Black Belt in the art of Golden Cranes Iai-jitsu Ryu and also holds the rank of Yellow Sash in the Filipino Martial Arts (Marcial Tirada).
Sensei Capirano was recognized as the "Most Improved Student" in 2011 and was awarded the "Instructor of the Year" award from 2012 through 2016 and again in 2018 through 2020. Sensei Capirano was awarded the Gold KI award on the back of his uniform in 2020 for having the warrior spirit in competition.

Sensei Tim Brandes is a 4th degree Black Belt with the Cleveland Karate Institute and with the Karate Institute of America. Sensei Brandes is the Master Instructor of Golden Cranes
Iai-jitsu Ryu and holds the rank of 3rd degree Black Belt in that art under the late Master Luis Dabila.
Sensei Brandes started his martial arts training in 1971.
Punong Guru Tony Marcial is the Master Instructor in the Filipino Martial Arts at the Cleveland Karate Institute. Guro Tony was born in Quezon City, Philippines in June of 1954. He began his Martial Arts training with his father at the age of seven in Shotokan Karate. At the age of eight, Guru Tony had the privilege of studying Kali in the Philippines under Punong Roberto Sarmiento. When Guru Tony moved to the United States in 1969, he kept true to the Filipino tradition and taught Kali underground ONLY. In 1990, Guru Tony decided to share the knowledge of his warrior art and opened his first Kali school and began teaching the art of Marcial Tirada to the public. Guru is also ranked in the martial arts styles of Shotokan, Shaolin Gung Fu, and White Crane Kung Fu. Guru Tony was inducted into the Philippine Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Ohio and Texas in 1998. Guru Tony was inducted into the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame in the year 2000.
